Building a Robust, Responsible Media Future

In the two years since the last gathering in Cannes, the media industry has been transformed. Change has come in many ways and from many forces.  

Major factors have had impact including consumer preferences, the new delivery of TV, the ubiquity of e-commerce, rising concerns around data and privacy, the rise of audio and other trends. 

The pandemic has impacted everything as have big social issues around misinformation, racial injustice and bias.

Out of this transformative period, what’s next for the media industry? How does the industry evolve and become more responsible to its customers, marketers and to society at large. And what is a sustainable, future of growth?  

This project is closely aligned with the GroupM responsible media investment initiative announced in April. 

Topics will be explored through a series of videos beginning in June, culminating with a virtual Global Forum* on June 23 at 1:00 PM Eastern.  The entire program is being produced by Beet.TV in collaboration with GroupM along with the 4A’s. 

The program will foster a productive, aspirational conversation with actions to follow.
