Visionary Founder & Industry Pioneer
Andy Plesser, CEO and Founder, brings a unique combination of media production expertise and business acumen to Beet.TV. After launching the platform in 2006 as an exploration of digital media’s transformation, Andy quickly focused the editorial direction on the emerging online video landscape. Under his steady leadership, Beet.TV has evolved into what is widely recognized as the first business-oriented video blog, providing unprecedented access to key industry figures through concise, insightful video interviews. Andy’s background includes work as an Associate Producer at CBS TV and founding his own successful PR firm specializing in technology and media clients including PC Magazine, Red Herring, CNET, and Wired — relationships that proved invaluable in establishing Beet.TV’s industry credibility.
Executive Team
Katy Charles, Chief Operating Officer, got her start producing documentary films for Vogue, ESPN & National Geographic before joining Beet.TV as a content producer and editor over a decade ago. Katy has been an integral part of Beet’s team over the past 12 years and now manages much of the day-to-day operations of the business and content creation. Katy began her career at National Geographic Channel, providing her with a foundation in premium content production.
Phil Ardizzone, Chief Revenue Officer at Beet.TV, is an accomplished sales and business development leader in the media and advertising industry. With leadership roles at Brand Innovators, Adweek, and IAB, Phil excels in event sales, media sales, and strategic business development. His deep relationships with industry partners have driven Beet.TV’s significant revenue growth, cementing its leadership in best in class events and media solutions. Passionate about building great events and experiences, Phil’s proven track record continues to elevate Beet.TV’s impact.
Lisa Granatstein, Editorial Director, is a seasoned journalist, live events producer and programmer who has spent much of her career in lead editorial roles at Mediaweek and Adweek, including Chief Content Officer. Her extensive background also includes stops at Front Office Sports, Athletes Unlimited and Benzinga. Earlier, Lisa was a technology reporter for Time magazine. Lisa began her journalism career in Toronto at the CBC’s flagship TV-news show The National. Lisa is known for her expansive network of C-suite leaders and A-list talent in media, advertising and sports.
Kristy Bauer, Head of Event Operations, contributes 30 years of event production and management experience, including previous leadership roles at Adweek. Her extensive background includes managing marketing, events, and operations for prestigious media brands such as American Express Publishing, The Robb Report, and Hearst Magazines. Kristy’s expertise has been central to the development of Beet.TV’s high-value event portfolio.
Nikki Fabrizio, Content Manager, joined Beet.TV from global ad tech platform Ogury, where she served as Content Marketing Manager. With expertise across adtech, SaaS, agency marketing, and experiential education, she brings multifaceted multimedia management skills that enhance the company’s content creation and distribution capabilities across platforms.
