comScore has come out with a ranking of the fastest growing U.S. Web sites. As Erick Schonfeld points out in TechCrunch, some of the sites have grown as a result of mergers. Some, however, appear to be just plain popular. Break Media, the video network for young adult males, is on fire. comScore reports it is the fastest growing U.S. site.
In addition to getting all lads to watch videos, Break has been successful in creating branded content which has driven revenue. Earlier this week, Break announced the development of an in-house production operation to create branded entertainment. Mike Shields over at Mediaweek has the details.
Here is our interview with Break's Andrew Budkofsky who visited with us last year to talk about Break's branded advertising initiatives.

Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Fastest Growing U.S. Site is Break, a Young Men's Video Network:
In most cases, their growth has little to do with their flagship sites. For example, EverydayHealth Network and Glam have grown this year by rolling up a number of Web sites that assigned over their traffic. Yet, in both instances, their flashship sites have had stagnant growth (per Quantcast).Does the ComScore report give any indication of this? No. So why don’t they run two reports — one for the fastest growing sites and one for the fastest growing networks. That way when media quotes the fastest growing sites, they are actually listing sites.
