Truveo, the big global video search engine which is a unit of AOL, unveiled a redesign last night along with its expansion into several new markets.
David Kaplan over at paidContent has the details.
In addition to the new functionality, there appears to be something of a new home for Truveo in newly formed AOL Ventures, David reports.
I have republished my interview with Truveo president Peter Kocks who explains Truveo and its very cool iPhone application. We published this clip last fall.
Truveo has been very helpful to Beet.TV in driving viewership. Here is our directory on Truveo. The site works beautifully in taking our RSS feed from our blog and organizing our videos.
Here is the company press release.

Did they buy them or just incorporate them.
Truveo has some expansion plans. I hope they are successful in their long term goals. All the best to the company.
LoomTV, the Germany based video search engine, also got an update these days. LoomTV (http://www.loom.tv) is a big part of social media as it works both as a media search engine and as a social media player/community. Beyond video search, LoomTV also finds keyword related user playlists, radio stations, live tv stations and news alerts. The slick design interface brings a more TV like viewing experience.
I love what you guys are doing. Keep up the great works guys, I've you to my website.
