White House Drops YouTube for Akamai as Video Platform

Akamai Player Chris Soghoian at CNET News.com reports that the White House has dropped YouTube as its video platform for President Obama's addresses for custom player and system from Akamai.  Chris says that the move has come as a result of privacy concerns over cookies collected by YouTube.  Chris explains the situation here

The Flash-based video on the White House blog, which Chris says appears to use Akamai's CDN, can be watched here.

Beet.TV will update this post with a comment from Akamai as soon as posible.
