HOLLYWOOD -- Brightcove, the Boston-based video services company which has established itself as leading video solution for U.S. publishers, has built a considerable presence in Japan, the company will announce Tuesday.
"Brightcove now operates in 27 countries. Twenty-two percent of their revenue is now being generated via customers in Europe and Asia, which is adding to their big footprint in the US and accelerating the path to profitability this year," a company spokesperson told Beet.TV
On Monday in Hollywood at the OMMA conference, we spoke with Brightcove Sr VP for Marketing, Jeff Whatcott. He filled us in on the expansion in Japan with Tokyo Broadcasting System, Inc., Sony Music Network Inc., Asahi Breweries Group, Shueisha Publishing Co., Ltd. and Orange Page Inc.
