Jimmy Fallon won't go on the air as NBC Late Night Host until March 2, but he's been building an online presence through his video blog, www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com, since early December. In his most recent video, he's goofing around at the CES conference — a logical stomping grounds for a videoblogger trying to build a fanbase online. Fallon will also perform at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Vegas tonight at 9 p.m.

There's been a fair amount of discussion around whether or not NBC's online "experiment" will help them retain broadcast traffic, and Virginia Heffernan adds her two cents in her story "The Burden of Interactivity" appearing in Sunday's New York Times Magazine. She discusses the interactivity required of her to review Fallon's vlog, and new media in general.
