YouTube has Hit with First Full Length Studio Film Debut

YouTube has premiered its first full-length studio film, "The Princess of Nebraska," by Wayne Wang and has garnered some 160,000 views since Friday night and a positive review in today's New York Times by movie critic A.O. Scott.

Scott remarks that viewing the film in full-screen mode allows viewers to appreciate the "cinematic qualities" of the film.  The film is on YouTube's Screening Room, which provides a high quality viewing option.

Earlier this year we blogged about the Screening Room.  At the YouTube premiere in Hollywood, we interviewed YouTube's Sara Pollack who heads the initiative along with three prominent directors. We have re-posted our interview today.
