Scoop: Live Videocaster Mogulus Nails Second Round of Financing

Mogulusimage

Mogulus, the New York based-start-up, which is  one of the cool new companies providing the tools for  individuals and publishers to  stream live video, has  raised an additional  $1.5, Beet.TV has learned.  This brings the total to $2.7 million, all from private angel investors who the company has declined to identify.

Above is an image of the live stream on Mogulus from CES being done by PodTech with interviews by Robert Scoble.

Although I am in Manhattan and not Vegas, I will be conducting interviews remotely using Mogulus.  Stay tuned for program announcements.

Here is our interview with Mogulus CEO Max Haot.

VentureBeat's David Adewumi has a great round-up story on the space.

The concept of this is super-cool but the results above seem pretty jumpy, aka video conferencing circa 1999. If they up the ante with video quality the implications of this are pretty incredible, though. I love how many options they worked into that "embed this channel" tab - that's UI design for microscreens done right!
