Richard Rosenblatt, who built MySpace and sold it to News Corp, has just launched a new business to create a network of individuals who buy .tv domain registratrations. The company is providing registrants rich social networking tools developed for MySpace. Although Rosenblatt sold INTERMIX, the parent of MySpace, to New Corp, he retained the licensing rights to many of the social networking tools. These tools are now available on ME.TV
The parent company, Demand Media, has an exclusive agreement with domain keeper VeriSign, to "resell" .tv domains on ME.TV or through eNom resellers. Here's the news release.
Richard thinks that .tv is new "dotcom." Geez, glad I registerd Beet.TV early last year as these domains could get pricey!
Richard explained all the to me at his poolside cabanna suite during the AlwaysOn opening night at the Roosevelt Hotel on Tuesday night. He is launching the company with TV host Carson Daly. Below is a promotional video about Me.TV with Carson and Richard. Carson is involved with the company and has his own show powered the ME.TV -- with a .tv URL, natch.

If I already own .tv name I guess I can't use their site, so that sucks.
No info on how to transfer and or if there are any options for a preowned .tv name....
I have to go with John above. I sell a number of high density/ low conversion items and listing fees just damn near bankrupted me last year. In two different months my ebay fees were actually higher than my total sales. Thank God for a turnaround at the end of the year (a few high priced items finally sold) or I would have had to give up. I have a number of constituents in the same boat as me. Auction style listings simply don't work on large, obscure pieces of industrial, lab or countless other categories...
