Internet visionary Joe Trippi is "on the rise" and having a big impact on the John Edwards campaign, according to a front page story in today’s Washington Post.  Trippi is a senior adviser to the campaign but the Post calls him the "de facto campaign manager and lead media consultant."

I’ve posted a video interview I did with Joe earlier this year in New York.  Joe breaks down the fundamental differences in media strategy between Democrats and Republicans.

There is going to be a great deal of innovation in old and new media strategy over the next 12 months.  Stay tuned and pay attention to Trippi’s moves.
