I caught up with Dan Farber on Tuesday, poolside at the Roosevelt in Hollywood. Dan just came from the MIX conference in Las Vegas. Dan and I are attending the OnHollywood conference.
Dan, editor-in-chief of ZDNet is impressed with the Silverlight, the new Microsoft platform for creating and sharing video and other rich media. Dan says that one of the keys to its success will be the involvement of developers -- if that happens, he thinks Silverlight will make inroads against Adobe Flash.
Whoever wins, Silverlight or Adobe Flash and the upcoming Apollo, the experience of using computers is about to become much more exciting, Dan says.
Here's me and Dan with Bambi Francisco, former MarketWatch columnist now CEO of Vator.TV at the OnHollywood Tuesday night party.

"involvement of developers" - too bad they are cutting out any Mac or Linux users as developers.
