Video publishing platform has closed its second round of funding, led by Bain Capital Ventures, the company announced today. Blip focuses on independent niche publishers and has seen rapid expansion, serving over 51 million video views in September–250 percent more than September of 2007, the company said.

Blip distributes more than 37,000 shows that are actively updated, including With the new funding, Blip plans to expand its advertising platform and syndication relationships. The amount of the funding was not disclosed. The company’s press release is available here.
