If you live in the Bay Area, or can get out there for a long weekend, don’t miss this Earth Day celebration on April 22 at the glorious Iron Horse Vineyards in Sebastopol, just 90 minutes north of San Francisco.

Eight of the best wineries in the Russian Valley will provide tastings and there will be lots of great food, music and information.  Admission is only $50 and proceeds go to important groups including the Leaky Foundation, The Rain Forest Action Network and others.     There is a $250 VIP ticket which includes a private reception featuring sustainably-farmed caviar. Yum!

What does this have to with online video and Beet.TV?  Well, environmental action is essential for all of us.  We’ve got to do what we can.

Andysuranga_2_2 Plus vintner Joy Sterling and her family are very dear friends of mine and Kathy’s for over 10 years. She has been the gracious hostess to several of my networking events.  Here’s me and Blinkx co-founder Suranga Chandratillake toasting to deep video search at the winery last fall.

Joy is former producer for ABC News and I have a feeling you’ll see  her in a video blog before too long.  Beet.TV’s David Kavanaugh was at Iron Horse last month where he taped Joy.  He also taped a great little segment about sparkling wine making — see the clip below.

There are only 400 tickets available so I would contact Joy ASAP.

I wish I could be there, but I’m stuck on the East Coast.  Have a blast!
