With few international news organizations on the ground in Syria, the world’s news broadcasters have had to rely on amateur video footage to report on the war.   Verifying the sources and managing the rights around much of that footage is being done by a small start-up in Dublin called Storyful.

In today’s New York Times, reporter Ben Sisario writes about the reliance of the broadcasters on video via social media and the role of organizations like Storyful.

Earlier this summer, we spoke with David Clinch, Executive Editor, about the company and its role in Syria and the company’s strategic direction.  We have republished that video today.
