LONDON – With more than 1 billion users worldwide, advertising with Facebook can help brands reach more users, says Christian Hernandez, UK and Pan-Euro director of Facebook. Beet.TV spoke with him in this video interview at the FT Digital Media Conference.
Hernandez says advertising with Facebook is compelling due to the scale of reach and the education Facebook provides brands and advertisers on how to most effectively use the medium.
“We engage directly with brands and advertisers, large and small,” he says.
Facebook-based advertising is aiming to increase the reach of campaigns, not replace TV campaigns. The average TV ad campaign has around a 70 percent reach, Hernandez says, but TV campaigns that are linked with Facebook have seen a 90 to 94 percent reach of target audiences.
