LAS VEGAS — Broadcasters are keenly interested in metadata and video solutions that connect to their live programming, says Tom Wilde, CEO of RAMP in an interview at the Consumer Electronics Show.

Live is their most valuable content, and many want tools that can tie in related content to that broadcast video, he explains. At CES, RAMP introduced its new solution dubbed “MetaQ” that operates as a “real-time rule engine” and can ingest, transcribe and tag video content automatically, whether live or on-demand. The technology can be used with online video platforms, video players and broadcast TV. Wilde says such tools can help drive the business of augmented TV, by presenting new or enhanced user experiences. RAMP is a video technology and search provider.
