Elemental Technologies Powers Video Compression for Comcast, HBO, ESPN, others

LAS VEGAS — Portland, Oregon-based Elemental Technologies is finding an expanding customer base for its video compression solution with Comcast, HBO Go and ESPN on Demand.

Earlier this month at CES, we spoke with Keith Wymbs, VP, about the company’s appliance product, its clients and the growing demand of the television business around digital distribution in multiple file formats for a multitude of devices.

In addition to selling boxes, the company’s technology is being used in the “cloud” by Amazon.
