BOSTON –  5Min, the AOL unit which syndicates a range of lifestyle and informational videos to publishers who use a proprietary 5Min player on their pages, will soon provide its inventory of videos to publishers who use the Brightcove player.

This is an effective way for publishers to obtain increase inventory and revenue while keeping the control, and analytics of their Brightcove player, says Richard Bloom 5Min SVP.

Separately, Brightcove publishers can syndicate their content into the 5Min syndication network.  This functionality has been available for some time.

We spoke with Bloom yesterday at the Brightcove PLAY global customer conference.

The alliance betwee 5Min and Brightcove was announced earlier this week.
