MONACO — A small start-up from Copenhagen, 23 Video, has launched globally its online video platform.

Sort of a “WordPress” for online video, 23 provides a video “page” to publish and track video as a CMS solution.  Here is an example.

Unlike most online video platform providers which offer a player and related support, the goal of 23 is to create video specific pages. The company terms its offering a “videosite.”

The company offers its services for  a flat monthly rate of $675 which includes 1 Terabyte of bandwidth, or about 160,000 video views.

At the Monaco Media forum, I interviewed CEO Tine Thygesen for this overview of the company and its offering.  She explains the market objective of the company is largely small and midsized organizations.

Mike Butcher, editor of TechCrunch Europe, first reported on 23 last month.  In his report, Mike used the term a “WordPress for video,” to describe the business.
