Giant media agency MediaVest just promoted digital director Amanda Richman to EVP and managing director after becoming head of digital in 2008. She oversees MediaVest's digital practice.

We caught up with her at the Digitas New Front event in New York and talked to her about the range of new media projects her clients are working on.

MediaVest clients including Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Wal-mart and Comcast are engaged in digital, online, mobile and advanced TV projects. “Everyone is engaged in various levels." she says.

The challenge is how to look at video not just in the vacuum of the mandate being 'spend more in video,' but where to spend that’s smart and achieves their objctives,” she said.
Existing projects she has shepherded include integrating P&G brands like Gillette into Yahoo's fashion show "The Thread."

She also talks about pre-rolls, an ad format that gets a bad rap, but that actually has been proven to work well, she said.
