I caught up with the CEO of Paris-based Hi-Media Cyril Zimmerman today at the paidContent conference in Manhattan where he was a panelist.  Cyril heads one of Europe’s largest ad networks and one of the world’s most unique.

The company is expanding its ad network and acquiring content companies.  Last year, it bought Fotolog for $90 million.

Cyril says that eventually ad networks will become publishers and publishers will become ad networks.  Hi-Media is certainly on the cutting edge of this.

He told me that online video ads are commanding high CPM’s in Europe, in the range of 10 to 20 EURO.  That’s getting up to about $35.  C’est bien, mona ami.
