BestTV, an Israeli-based company in the online video management space, has received $4 million in funding from Israeli investors since its founding in 2002.

I caught up with the Stanford-educated founder Oded Felled recently in Manhattan. Oded says the company is ready to enter the U.S. market and hopes to raise a second venture round.  The company appears to have a solid stable of customers in Israel and Europe.

BestTV is entering a competitive space in the United States with entrenched players including Brightcove, Maven (now owned by Yahoo!), the Platform (owned by Comcast), the Feedroom and others.

He says that BestTV offers flexibility and not templates.  He describes the company as "middleware" company for video publishers that charges on the usage of its platforms.

Oded is very keen on Microsoft’s new Silverlight and is doing a number of implementations, he told me.

Update:  Liz Gannes over at NewTeeVee has news of funding of Reality Digital, another "white label" video content management company.
