LAS VEGAS – As television, digital, radio and even live events come together, Skype has found a place in the middle of that convergence, connecting people worldwide via live television and digital, says Angie Hill, general manager of consumer marketing at Skype, in this interview with Beet.TV at the 2014 NAB Show last week.

Skype TX, a studio-grade software that Microsoft unveiled at NAB earlier this week, will further enable professional broadcast partners to connect with people around the world in a more controlled and higher quality environment.

Creating these partnerships is critical for Skype’s integration in this media convergence, Hill says. TED, ESPN’s X Games and Jimmy Kimmel Live are three such partners that work with Skype to connect and communicate with viewers.
