LAS VEGAS – Livestream‘s mission is to connect people and live events, says Sam Kimball, EVP of advertising and brand sales for Livestream which attracts more than 30 million viewers a month. Beet.TV spoke with him in this video interview at NAB.

“We have a very sophisticated and global leading platform for streaming live,” Kimball says. “We’ve innovated in software; we’ve innovated for streaming in mobile devices, and now we’re innovating in hardware that is directly related to live streaming.”

At NAB, Livestream showcased several new hardware products including a portable multicam live production switcher with a monitor on the side.

“We want to make it easy for anyone to do a live stream and to broadcast on the web,” he says.

By bringing the platform, the software and the hardware together, Kimball says Livestream is getting closer to its goal of  increasing the accessibility of live stream production.
