AMSTERDAM – “Television has
to get more mobile and more and more broadcasters and news stations want to
have real feeds from the street, from the events and from different venues,”
says miniCASTER’s Director of Marketing, Norbert Gierlich.  miniCASTER
aims to make live streaming easier and more mobile with a pocket-sized live
H-264 Encoder.

Gierlich explains that the
“miniCASTER is perfect to go in a handbag with a small camera, DSLR, and some
action cams and deliver that live feed directly to your newsroom, station or
website.”

miniCASTER believes that in
the next year, as a result of set top boxes and encoding devices like
miniCASTER, “more and more people will be able to go live and decode signals
and play them out on HDMI screens.”

Gierlich demonstrates the
features of the miniCASTER encoder in this video interview from the IBC show in
Amsterdam.
