Social media metrics startup Bluefin Labs recently raised an additional $12 million in venture funding, and is quickly on pace to win deals with the biggest media agencies and TV networks.

Already, advertising agencies such as Starcom, MediaVest and Mediacom, as well as networks such as Fox and Discovery, have signed on to use the company's services to more precisely measure social chatter around TV shows and ads.
