Recent weather events in the United States have driven video consumption on in a big way, says Samantha Shoemaker, Online Video Product Manager.

She says that the company's App is the most popular for the iPhone and iPad.  More on the company's popular Apps can be read in this story from today's USA Today.

She says that increased consumption has also risen as a result of placement of video in text stories, and through an ambitious Facebook strategy.

The company uses Brightcove as its online video platform.  We spoke with her at the Brightcove global customer conference in Boston last week.
