Particle, the San Francisco based start-up funded by Justin Timberlake, launched a product called Robo.to in May, which is a Web application that allows users to upload a four second video created on a mobile device or Web cam and share it on various social network sites .

Today, the company is expanding its service with something called TV Mode, which makes these four-second videos searchable with keywords and hashtags.  So, users can search and discover updates of others and various topics and trends.

Ray Flemings, Particle CEO, came by our studio for this interview and demonstration.

It's fascinating to see what users are doing for their four seconds.

Yesterday, the Financial Times reported that Robo.to would be integrated into the iPhone and Google's Android operating system as an exotic "caller ID" application.
