Some automakers still have money to spend on ads. Kia Motors teamed up with to produce a five-episode Web series for the network’s Web site, announced today.

The show is called “Mysteries of the Universe” and is billed as a fictional “documentary” that digs into unsolved mysteries. Presumably while driving cars.

The series will likely have a “Lost” sensibility. ABC’s digital chief Albert Cheng has talked to Beet.TV about the network’s Web syndication strategy and also about working with developers on its video player.
