CNN.com has been leading the online media industry with live streaming of news events.  This will certainly be among the most widely viewed. Beet.TV has learned that CNN.com began its live coverage at 3:48 EST about 15 minutes after the plane landed in the river.

All the passengers have been removed from the plane, according to early reports.

Dan Frommer over at Silicon Alley Insider has a report of "citizen journalists" covering the event with an amazing photo taken on a iPhone. Eric Zeman at Information Week talks about how Twitter spread news of the event. More on crash tweets from Venture Beat's MG Siegler.
