During the Inauguration of Barack Obama on Tuesday, Jan. 20, CNN.com Live users will be able to update their own Facebook status directly from the CNN.com Live player; and also see status updates from their friends and other Facebook users on CNN.com Live. On Facebook, the status updates for those using CNN.com Live will be published in their News Feed with hyperlinked tags that read “via CNN.com Live,” so users’ friends on Facebook can click the tag and join the CNN.com Live/Facebook experience.
Since it dropped the paid wall for its live streaming, CNN has become far and away the leader in streaming live news events. We reported on the big viewing numbers for the Mumbai attacks. The Inauguration will surely be a huge day for CNN.
The screen shot provided to Beet.TV is a mock-up of how the CNN/Facebook page will look.

Just witness Rick's show and to hear you agreeing with this Emily woman's comments that this is a waste of time tells me alot about you. The peace on the monkey was surely rude. You are so fake

What a day in the history of the USA and the whole world.
I'm living in Canada,I'm German
and in the 70th I was married to an Afro- American. At this time it was unthinkable that there would ever be such a thing as an Afro/American president. I went through racial discrimination myself and my husband, even in Germany.
We both believed in a better world, even so we are not together anymore and I'm happily married again, I want to dedicate this day to him deep in my heart and I hope Obama makes this war ridden world a better place. He definitely gives a lot of people new hope, we can not live without that!
Power to the people!

I hope our new president does great and with the help of the people he can. One thing that gets me at this of every election 90% of Hollywood wants to show off ther glory but why dont they take the money they use to throw their parties and give or donate to our government or a charity. Then they can still raise the money for their party with a cover charge. Our new president would still like what they are doing. Just plain ole economics supply and demand, This would help out pay some of the money our govt. has promise to give thanks CNN for your. I seen where Huffington has a place to get names for a donation list or something thats fine but she could help by the supply and demand side. Never know what the first dollar may lead up to. again thanks CNN, Jerry Cole Virginia
We will enjoy the moment
It's great to see CNN take the lead in web-based news delivery. They are truly technology trailblazers. I'll be watching CNN Live on my HDTV. PCTVCables.com
