Advertising is becoming participatory and social and because of that shift it’s returning to its roots, said Sarah Szalavitz of social design agency 7 Robot.

We caught up with the social community and advertising thought leader at the recent NATPE conference in Las Vegas where she shared her thoughts on the transition brands are making toward more transparency with their consumers. “We are moving toward social. Web 2.0 seems to have been about creating options two percent of us would use and now we seem to be moving towards a place where we can use that technology…to transition from search to social.”
