We were saddened to read about the death of Ali Shafeya Al-Moussawi, a 22-year-old reporter for the award-winning online video show "Alive in Baghdad."  About a year ago I interviewed the Brian Conley founder and executive producer (above) who gave an overview on the show and its reliance on Iraqi videographers. 

The New York Times has media story today about how mainstream media has relied increasingly on Iraqi-based freelancers.  A very dangerous assignment, indeed.
