TechCrunch Disrupt is “Best Tech Conference Ever in New York,” David Kirkpatrick

David Kirkpatrick, longtime Fortune staffer and author of a much anticipated book about Facebook, says that TechCrunch Disrupt is the "best tech conference ever" in New York.

I caught up with him at the conference yesterday for this video interview. He is speaking today, the last day of the show.

David released some news of his own yesterday, plans for new conference business with two former Fortune editors. The company is called Techonomy. The first event takes place this August in Lake Tahoe and will include Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Google CEO Eric Schmidt, and other luminaries.

David gives an overview of the new company in this interview. Ina Fried over at CNET News.com has additional details.
