Earlier this week, First30Days.com launched, a self-help site for people going through changes in lifestyle, business and health, launched with $5 million in venture financing lead by Hearst Interactive Media in a Series A financing, in addition to The New York City Investment Fund and a host of angel investors including former Time Warner CEO Dick Parsons.

The company has been founded by Ariane de Bonvoisin, formerly Managing Director of $500 million Time Warner’s Digital Media Venture Fund.  Here is the press release.

The offering has similiarities to to About.com, with individual "guides" for several subject areas.  In fact, Victoria Bianchini, who is the company’s community director came from About.com where she was director of guide marketing.

For a comprehensive evaluation of the company and content, read this post on TechCrunch by Erick Shonfeld, who first reported this launch on Monday.

Ariane, a Stanford MBA who also worked for Charlie Rose, visited the Beet.TV studios earlier today for this interview.

She said that original videos were being produced and will be added to the site in April.
