I was at the packed AlwaysOn On Media Conference in Manhattan today. It was wonderful to see my old friend Tony Perkins running his first Always On conference in New York and making such a success of it.
Tony was the founder of Upside and Red Herring magazines -- and launched the Always On Network nearly four years ago. I had the good fortune of handling PR for Red Herring during the Internet boom. It's great to see Tony is riding the current boom in technology and media.
I asked Tony to help me out with some interviews today. Here he is interviewing Eric Hippeau, managing partner of Softbank Capital, the New York-based venture firm which is investing in online media ventures. The firm recently invested in the Huffington Post. In this interview, Eric explains the formula of success surrounding the fast growing brand.
