Save the Date January 23: Media Biz Joins AT&T, Omnicom and Congresswoman Velazquez to Support Puerto Rico Recovery

“Stand with Puerto Rico,” a media industry initiative created to help the island’s relief and recovery, will meet at the AT&T AdWorks Lab on January 23 from 8:00 am. – 10:00 am.

The meeting will provide an update on the progress and challenges on the island presented by by Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez (D-NY).  It will showcase the work of the Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico and its goal to break the cycle of poverty on the island.  (The Club is the primary beneficiary of the Stand with Puerto Rico Initiative.)

Speaking will be Jonathan Nelson,CEO, Omnicom Digital at Omnicom Group, senior executives from AT&T, the president of the Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico and other media agency and media owners.

The goal of program is to:

*Gain the commitment of media owners and agencies to provide media, to run PSA’s for the Boys & Girls Club

*Introduce brands and their creative agencies to the Boys & Girls Club as a potential  “cause marketing” partner

*Solicit corporate and personal contributions to the Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico

*Present a range of examples and opportunities for the industry to be involved with Puerto Rico recovery.
