Commerce: The New Cannes Conversation
Accelerated by the pandemic, the use of first party data and by platform innovation, commerce has grown into a robust advertising ecosystem. The change has come as retailers, brands, agencies, publishers, TV programmers and platforms are finding new ways to reach consumers and sell goods and services directly. This evolving media story will be a big part of the conversations at the upcoming Cannes Lions festival as the industry realigns around strategy, and media spend, to harness commerce. This will be the subject of a 10-part lead-up series produced and published by Beet.TV in the weeks prior to Cannes.
Topics include:
- The evolution of commerce media – creating a full commerce ecosystem where new media allows retailers to maximize their online impact, and invest back in their own marketing efforts
- How new and emerging advertising formats are changing the commerce space and buyer journey, including personalization, shoppable media, and more.
- How brands and their agencies are meeting the new opportunities around commerce. What does investment look like and what are exceptions around performance.
