Starcom’s Mobility Director: Interactivity is Essential to Mobile Advertising

By on 01/30/2014 7:10 AM @beet_tv

VIEQUES, PR – Mobile advertising is showing great promise with interactive, cross-platform projects in projects such as P&G’s “Proud Sponsor of Moms”  around the Sochi Olympics, explain Erin Kienast, SVP,  Director of Mobility at Starcom Worldwide, in this interview with Beet.TV.

She says without interactivity, which allow users to participate in content creation via video and rich media, mobile could find itself diminished in value, in a sort of “banner trap.”

Also in the interview, she says that the Blipper app is showing great promise as a means to amplify cross-platform campaigns.

At Starcom, Kienast oversees the tactical planning and implementation for all P&G brands with mobility in market along with oversight into user experience/creative development and technology innovation.

We spoke with her at the Beet.TV executive retreat where she was a participant.
