VIEQUES, Puerto Rico — Global video-sharing site Dailymotion plans to expand its live programming offering this year to include more music coverage as well as conferences and b-to-b live events, says Roland Hamilton, Managing Director of Dailymotion USA, during an interview with Beet.TV at the Beet Retreat 2013 in Vieques, Puerto Rico.

The video site has grown in this area over the last few years, most notably with its live concert Virgin Mobile Free Fest, and now wants to leverage its global audience of 200 million to broaden the reach of live coverage. Hamilton adds that Dailymotion will also let users go live in a self-serve manner from the platform itself.
