NDN, a syndicator of video news clips on the Web, has been ranked by comScore as the second biggest U.S. Web video source, by unique viewers, after Google/YouTube, comScore reports in its November video rankings.

How has this site topped giants including Facebook, AOL, Vevo and Viacom?  Here is the response from Kevin Gentzel, Chief Revenue Officer, in an email statement to Beet.TV

“NDN continues to scale its audience as our online video platform of syndication and distribution helps publishers enhance the user experience, generate a new revenue stream with premium online video inventory and take cost out of their model as we provide everything to them for free.

Also, NDN launched a new remote video embedding tool called “perfect pixel”. Perfect pixel allows the video editors at NDN to work hand in hand with publishers to place contextually relevant online video content into the story well of publisher pages.

Lastly, November was a huge news month with NDN helping to power events like the Election across the web in online video.”

Earlier this year, we interviewed Gentzel about the growth and approach of NDN.   We have republished that interview today.

More on the rise of NDN in this report by Will Richmond.

Very pleased that he will be a participant in the Beet Retreat in February.
