UK’s “YouView” is Important New Digital Platform for Scottish TV

AMSTERDAM – Launched in the U.K. earlier this summer by a consortium of that country’s leading broadcasters and ISP’s, YouView provides nearly 100 digital video channels via an Internet-connected box to the TV.

Scottish Television (STV) is a content partner with YouView and is expecting to expand its digital footprint in Scotland with the new platform, says Alistair Brown, CTO, in this interview with Beet.TV at the IBC show.

We spoke with him about YouView and other developments in the distribution of digital video.
