Collaborative video production firm Market7 has released enhancements to its software and added a new exec to extend its reach further into Hollywood and media production. The company launched more than three years ago to serve the needs of corporate and media video production and we recently caught up with Market7's CEO Seth Kenvin for an update.

Last month, Market7  hired  TV vet Craig Heiting as VP and GM for production and entertainment to market the services to studios and Hollywood producers.

The biggest benefit from collaborative video production, Kenvin tells us in the video, is to move away from long email chains, FTP sites and the shipping of DVDs, which can slow down production. "'Even in Hollywood with the need to provide more Web content, people are collaborating more…and these are situations in which what we provide resonates," he says in the interview.
